When you take Propofol you go to sleep

What do you do to wake up?

Stop your “Propofol drip” now

Well in the case of many people with propofol/diprivan addictions, they do not start off with the intent to become addicted.

They start using it for legitimate reasons, and then they become dependent on it, and then they use it all the time, several times a day.

How do you get rid of an addiction?  Well let’s look at the original typical 12 step program.  This is for AA programs but is also the premise for drug addictions.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twelve-step_program#Twelve_Steps

These are the original Twelve Steps as published by Alcoholics Anonymous

  1. We admitted we were powerless over alcohol—that our lives had become unmanageable.
  2. Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.
  3. Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood Him.
  4. Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.
  5. Admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.
  6. Were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.
  7. Humbly asked Him to remove our shortcomings.
  8. Made a list of all persons we had harmed, and became willing to make amends to them all.
  9. Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.
  10. Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it.
  11. Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out.
  12. Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to alcoholics, and to practice these principles in all our affairs.

This is more the mental process.  The physical process is one of weaning off the substance, detoxifying the body, and allow the body to recover.

So what does all this mean?

For me, my propofol is life as I know it.  My propofol has been going to the media as my truth.  Going on the internet to find my reality.  My propofol has been being self centered vs others centered.

So how do I get over this?

  1. I admit that life as I know it has become unmanageable.  This world is suffering because of many people like me who have been self centered.
  2. I believe that there is a Power greater than me that can restore me and this world back to sanity (GOD).
  3. I have made a decision to turn my life and my will over to the care of God as I understand Him.
  4. I have made a searching and fearless moral inventory of my life. (with the help of having my eyes opened by MJ’s “death”, mjawakening, and many many others that have commented and emailed me)
  5. I have admitted to God, myself, and many of you via myspace, twitter and blogs the exact nature of my wrongs.
  6. I am entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.
  7. I humbly ask Him to remove my shortcomings.
  8. I have made amends with people whom I have harmed and I have entered the process of forgiveness (thanks again mjawakening)
  9. I have made direct amends to such people wherever possible.
  10. I will continue to take personal inventory and will admit my wrongs promptly.
  11. Through prayer and meditation, I will improve my conscious contact with God as I understand him praying for knowledge of His will for me and for the power to carry that out.
  12. Lastly, having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps (or should I say an MJAWAKENING ;-)), I will carry this message to other who are where I was and to practice these principles in all my affairs.

So guys, it appears we have been going through life like zombies… walking through life with our eyes open, but asleep.

MJ’s death has snapped a lot of us out of this zombie-like state.  We have opened our eyes to the Matrix we live in.  We now question what is fed to us.  We are aware to a certain extent but still have so much more to learn.  Now we are coming out of our self-centered lives and SHARING this message… the message of L.O.V.E. with all those around us.  Some are accepting the message and others are scoffing it.  So be it.  We NEED to continue to spread the message.  It is our duty.  It is our responsibility.

The propofol drip stops here.

  2. Love “You” so much lilwendy. 🙂

  3. I think we can find all responses to our questions if we understand God purposes for us. All of us, although we are not perfect as HE is, have a “piece” of HIM inside us. We just need a break time to breath, relax, medidate and then… be able to listen to HIS voice talking to us. God knows we are not perfect and understands our faults… he knows we are just human beings with our own needs and difficulties. God is patient and kind enough to understand us and to forgive us. Me for example, although I always believed and respected GOD I admit that I have many and many faults and I feel guilty because of them. For example, I feel guilty for not dedicating more time in spiritual tasks. I feel guilty for not helping people more and sometimes for not understanding people more. I feel guilty for not doing volunteer works during my free time. I feel guilty for smoking and polluting my body… I feel guilty for taking heavy pills every night to sleep, otherwise I just can’t sleep. I feel guilty for not doing physical exercises although I know they are good for my health. I feel guilty for waking up late in the weekends instead of doing something worth. I feel guilty for not spending more time with my parents… well, I could go on and on with more examples. But I think that if we admitted our faults and realized which are the bullets we need to improve, we already walked the first step. I know a phrase that I like so much, which is: “Although noone can go back and make a new beginning, anyone can begin now and make a new end”.

God means Love – and Love forgives all faults.
