TNZ comments:

While thinking about George, don’t forget about Douglas Rushkoff.

Ok so first thing to jump out at me was…

“His associations ranged from the United Nations Commission on World Culture and the US Department of State to Sony Corporation and TCI.”

And… “Douglas Rushkoff’s philosophy developed from a techno-utopian view of new media to a more nuanced critique of cyberculture discourse and the impact of media on society. Viewing everything except for intention as media, he frequently explores the themes of how to make media interactive, how to help people (especially children) effectively analyze and question the media they consume, as well as how to cultivate intention and agency. He has theorized on such media as religion, culture, politics and money.”

TNZ’s comments continued:

Douglas Roushkoff (Value based economy and history of currency: eg )

Douglas Roushkoff (Life Inc the movie)

…WHO REALLY KILLED JFK, sex, drugs, rock’n’roll, and the Cosmic Giggle Factor.” (New Hackers Dictionary about “The Illuminatus! Trilogy”)

Robert Anton Wilson (1832 – NEVER) “The Illumanus! Trilogy” (“Fairy-tales for paranoids”) >>>Douglas Roushkoff “Mediavirus!”>>> “George” Exactly!

“the books mixed true information with imaginative fiction to engage the reader in what Wilson called “guerilla ontology”…

which he apparently referred to as “Operation Mindfuck” in Illuminatus!” 😉

Wilson claimed “not to believe anything”, since “belief is the death of intelligence.” He described his approach as “Maybe Logic” 😉

“Do not judge, and you will not be judged” Luke 6:37

Ok I think I’m getting antsy as I just want to move on… and besides…. Serenitys_Dream did a great job in my opinion here: AND here:

AND here:

I especially agree with this last post from SD as many of my friends who have travelled have told me that depending on where you live you will get fed a different take on the same story.  That media skews what they report depending on the country they are reporting in.

Another great contribution here from dyanne :

So I don’t really think I need to say more… thanks ladies! 😉
