TNZ sent me a tweet! Response to Acts 14:20 blog.

Ok TNZ sent me a tweet!  It was in response to my blog…

@lilwendymjhd THE FIRST LETTER OF ST. PAUL TO THE CORINTHIANS: http://biblescripture.net/1Corinthians.html

This takes me to a commentary on 1 Corinthians and within this book is the well known chapter 1 Cor 13 on  Love

But back to this commentary as a whole…

This book of Paul opens with a plea for Christian unity… remember V for Vendetta’s tagline?

Strength through unity, unity through faith!

This is a key message… we must unify to gain strength and we must gain that unity through faith.

Now there are some key things on the page in red and some in blue so I will address those specifically.  I will highlight the red ones in red as I believe these to be critically important to comprehend.

Christian Unity

Greeting

Thanks Giving

An Appeal for Christian Unity – 1 Cor 1:10

Now I exhort you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all agree and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be made complete in the same mind and in the same judgment.

MJ is bringing us together under the event of his death… people will come together when someone dies and reflect on all the good that was done.  Through these boards and clues and all the investigation we`ve done, there has been unity for a while, then all of a sudden there will be dissension and fighting/arguing, then the board mysteriously crashes, gets shut down, etc.  We need to be unified and have a purity of purpose AND LOVE ONE ANOTHER.

The Wisdom of the Cross – 1 Cor 1:18

For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing,but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

There are going to be people who think this is all foolishness.  There are going to be people who think this is all just a game.  There are going to be people who don’t get the big picture.  This big picture is the need to refocus on God, God’s principles, and God’s values.  This is what will save this planet.

Food for idols – 1 Cor 8:6

yet for us there is but one God, the Father,

from whom are all things and we exist for Him;

and one Lord, Jesus Christ,

by whom are all things, and we exist through Him.

There is one God… many religions… one God.

All things are created for His Glory.  It’s all for His Glory.  Everything MJ is doing is to glorify God and lead us back to the one who will fill our emptiness.

The Need for Asceticism

The Lessons of Israel’s History – 1 Cor 10:13, 16-17

13 No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.

Things happen in life, however, God will not give you more than you can bear.  He will give you a strong back.   He will allow you a way to escape the torment.  I am hopeful that MJ has escaped this for the time being and is now helping us by refocusing us.

Is not the cup of blessing which we bless a sharing in the blood of Christ?

Is not the bread which we break a sharing in the body of Christ?

Since there is one bread, we who are many are one body; for we all partake of the one bread.

We are all brothers and sisters in God.  We are one family.  We need to reconnect with our own families and then realize those united families are all part of a bigger family.  When we get that, we will treat each other and our planet properly.  This is the answer.

Seek the Good of Others – yes before you judge another, try hard to love your brother, put yourself in their shoes, what have you got to lose. Hahaha .  Seriously though, before you judge me, try hard to love me, look within your heart and ask…

LITURGICAL ASSEMBLIES

Proper Conduct at the Assembly

The Eucharist – 1 Cor 11:23

For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you,

that the Lord Jesus in the night in which He was betrayed took bread;

and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said,

“This is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”

In the same way He took the cup also after supper, saying,

“This cup is the new covenant in My blood;

do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”

For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup,

you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes.

Jesus knew he was leaving this earth.  He brought his key guys together and implored them to remember him and speak of his death until he returns.  This is what we are currently doing.  We are speaking of MJ, learning about his heart, his message, etc. And spreading the word.  We need to start, if we haven’t already, being advocates for the family, for love, for everything MJ stood for.  In NO WAY am I saying he is a Messiah.  In NO WAY am I saying he is a God.  NO WAY!!!  However, God does speak through people and puts burdens on their heart.  Anyone who has listened to MJ in the past 10 years knows this was his heart.

The One Mystical Body of Christ

We are all part of one body, one family.  We have all been given gifts.  We need to work together and help each other identify the gifts we’ve been given, if we don’t know them already, and work together in strength, unity, faith, and truth to bring this message to the world.

LOVE – 1 Cor 13:4-8

Love is patient,

love is kind and is not jealous;

love does not brag and is not arrogant,

does not act unbecomingly;

it does not seek its own,

is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered,

does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;

bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never fails

Memorize this everyone!  This is love.  This is what it is all about.

Personalize this and say it every morning when you wake up.

I believe in affirmations needing to be positive.  So I will change this up a bit.

I am patient.  I am kind.  I am content.  I am modest.  I am humble.  I am proper.  I am others focussed.   I am hard to anger.  I forget the wrong done to me.  I rejoice with the truth.  I bear all things.  I believe all things.  I hope all things.  I endure all things.  In love, I will never fail.

This is it everyone!  This is it!

THE RESURRECTION

The Resurrection of Christ

For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received,

that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,

and that He was buried,

and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,

and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.

This is what we need to remember.  This is the message.  MJ I believe is going to recreate in a modern day tale this message.  He died.  He will rise again.  And it’s all for LOVE.

The Resurrection of the Dead

The Manner of the Resurrection of the Dead – 1 Cor 15:40-44

There are also heavenly bodies and earthly bodies,

but the glory of the heavenly is one, and the glory of the earthly is another.

There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon,

and another glory of the stars; for star differs from star in glory.

So also is the resurrection of the dead.

It is sown a perishable body, it is raised an imperishable body;

it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory;

it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power;

it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.

If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.

1 Cor 15:51-55

Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed,

in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.

For this perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality.

But when this perishable will have put on the imperishable,

and this mortal will have put on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written,

“Death is swallowed up in victory.

“O Death, where is your victory?

O Death where is your sting?”

Death is not the end.  We are not our shell.  We are not this body we are in.  If we believe in God and follow him will will have everlasting life.  We will have victory over death.
